An independent Linux-based operating system. A personal space shaped around clarity, continuity and Glass.
What’s working today
A desktop composition built around light, translucent surfaces and space for your work. Concept render; not a capture of the current OS.

An exploration of quick access: the command bar emerges only when you need it. Concept render; not a capture of the current OS.

A Glass control-center study. The controls shown illustrate the intended design, not verified feature availability. Concept render; not a capture of the current OS.
A look at the direction we’re exploring. These are concept renders from Nava’s motion studies, not captures of the current OS. Applications and controls in the images do not imply release availability.
Built with intention
Nava OS is an independent Linux distribution, rather than a theme for GNOME or KDE. The project develops its own compositor and desktop alongside the system underneath.
A command bar, terminal, tiling layouts and virtual workspaces already form part of that system. The next steps are about making the whole experience more complete.
A clear view of progress
Startup and services, a compositor, a terminal, command launch, package tools, tiling and virtual workspaces are documented in the development roadmap.
Wireless validation, audio playback, installation, updates and release readiness are ongoing. Lock-screen and control-panel work has advanced, but the older roadmap checklist is not fully reconciled.
The brand’s material studies and cinematic interface concepts explore a direction. They are not demonstrations of complete, shipping features.
